That method should work for Windows 7 VirtualBox as well, except that you'll also need to inject the Apple copyright key into EFI as well. The second option doesn't seem likely, as I've only had luck finding EFI programs that work for Leopard and Snow Leopard (Rebel EFI, Empire EFI, etc), but none have worked for Tiger (user error, perhaps?)įor reference, my host is Ubuntu Lucid 64-bit, and I'm using Virtual Box version 3.2. I'd much prefer either to install JaS or to use an EFI emulator that would work with a retail Tiger universal install DVD. I've installed Deadmoo as a Virtual Box guest, but it is severely limited as OS X hacks go.

MacOS X 10.3, code named 'Panther', adds features such as Expose, fast user switching, and the Safari web browser. Use real PowerPC Mac hardware, PearPC or QEMU PPC to emulate this. X86 emulators like VirtualBox, VMWare or Virtual PC will not work. Virtual Box is much faster and more stable in my experience (my only problem so far has been installing Tiger), and it is open-source, which gives me more options for tweaking performance. Important This version of Mac OS X is for PowerPC ONLY.

NOTE: If you are attempting to burn this file to disc in Windows 10 you will need another disc image burner software/app. Only real PowerPC computers or PPC emulators such as QEMU can run Tiger. NOTE: x86 emulators such as VirtualBox or VMWare won't work. I have already seen the guide for installing JaS as a VMWare guest, but I personally much prefer to use Virtual Box if its possible. Estoy subiendo la imagen a un servidor, de momento les dejo un enlace a un torrent, es exactamente la misma imagen que baje en su tiempo, necesitan de 'Utorr. Mac OS X Tiger Retail DVD (iso image) Version 10.4. The reason I want a Tiger guest is for testing several applications and applets that I'm developing (it is essential to be able to test on Tiger, not just Leopard and Snow Leopard). Subsequent boots give the same message, or after removing the install disk, Virtual Box gives the message "FATAL: No bootable medium found! System halted"". In reading the Boot Camp documentation, it seems I would need to install a Windows OS, too. The installation itself goes fine for me, but first boot gives the message "System config file '/' not found'". Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, Macintosh, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4, 2.6, 3.x and 4.x), Solaris and OpenSolaris, OS/2, and OpenBSD. Question: Q: Need to run Windows programs in OS X 10.4.11 I was told that since I have an Intel iMac, I can run Windows programs by booting up in a program such as Boot Camp. I'm wondering if anyone has had luck installing JaS as a Virtual Box guest? If so, what are the proper settings? I've tried "JaS OS 10.4.8 AMD Intel SSe2 SSe3 Beta v2". Since the forums here won't let me start my own new topic yet, I guess this is the closest thread to my topic.
